Here are just a few things that the local area has to offer.

Watch the dolphins at Channonry Point, just a forty minute drive away.  We'd thoroughly recommend getting out on the water with EcoVentures.  It's a fantastic family trip!

If you'd rather stay closer to home, Dornoch has a glorious beach too.

There are plenty of lovely local shops

in the town for you to

meander around!

If you're bringing your bike with you, you'll love the fantastic Highland Wildcat Mountain Bike Trails.  A series of high quality trails for all abilities make this a brilliant way to cover Ben Bhraggie!  Remember we have a secure shed for your bikes at Rowallan too.

For budding photographers there are is an endless stream of material for you to work with in and around Rogart.  The Northern Lights are at their best in the autumn.

There are a whole host of phenomenal golf courses in the area.  Royal Dornoch is the most notable, with Golspie Golf Course being a real hidden gem.​

Brora is home to the world famous Clynelish Distillery.  It does a range of tours and is well worth a visit.

There is also a new distillery in Dornoch, inside the Dornoch Castle Hotel.

Golspie is home to Sutherland Swimming Pool.  As well as a pool, it has a fully-equipped leisure centre and runs a series of fitness classes that you'll be more than welcome to join!

If you like walking, then you've come to the right place!  There are a huge range of beautiful walks and climbs nearby.   Whether you like an easy stroll or are an experienced climber, there will be plenty for you to choose from.

If you are keen to travel further afield and experience the wild beauty of the Northern Highlands, then you'll be pleased to know that Rogart is just four miles off the North Coast 500!
